Summer Snow Hathaway

Summer is 13 born on May 8th, 1997.

Brief history:

Summer has constantly moved around schools due to bad behavior and also asking to because she felt that she wasn’t feeling the ‘vibe’ around in that place. She’s started petitions and Awareness campaigns. She is an active member in the Gay-Lesbian Alliance (GayLesbAll) and Mock Trial. She is also an active member in Young Women’s Empowerment. She and her family have lived in Toronto all of her life, but she does dream of moving somewhere bigger like New York or San Francisco, where she can make a name for herself and be in newspapers because of good causes. She’s here at Degrassi because her parents hope that her brother could bring her to her senses. She’s very close with her brother.

Summer is a freshman, although she should be in eighth grade. She skipped second grade thank you very much.

Physical appearance:

Summer has creamy soft snow white pale skin that feel like a baby’s bottom. She has golden blonde hair that goes down to the small of her back. It’s not silky smooth, but it’s not rough and callous. Sort of in between. She doesn’t care much for brushing it sometimes. She often pulls it up in a messy ponytail.She's pretty tall for her age being 5'4". She has soft, round, relaxing aquamarine eyes. She’s going through that phase where she’s just starting to break out and she absolutely hates it. So sometimes she uses her hair and sweeps it across her face to hide the acne. She has normal sized rose pink lips that curl into a smirk about 75% of the time. She’s not very busty, I mean come on she’s thirteen for crying out loud. You can’t expect her to have a C cup at an early stage of adolescence. Her clothing consists of things not too masculine but not too feminine. A unisex style in her closet that include and unbuttoned plaid long sleeves with a t-shirt rolled up the the elbow and a colored wife beater under it. With skinny jeans and of course, none other than the traditional black high top Chucks that are a must have in every closet. She has very small hands for her age, but they are great for writing.

Personality:

Summer is a smart cookie, hence why she skipped second grade and his in high school at a young age. Very street and book smart. Summer, like Benjamin, has a witty, blunt, and sarcastic sense of humor. Summers's advice is often sought by the members of her family because of her tendency to see things how they are. Regarding more serious matters, Summer shows compassion and empathy and gives her friends very good advice, showing she has a good sense of virtue. Summer is very stubborn and won’t take and “You’re too young,” as a reason to not do something. Summer despises authority. Although, she does seem very authoritive (is that a word?) herself showing that she is very bossy and enjoys telling people what to do and finds it amusing when people listen to her and tell her that she’s right. Though, she’s not a snob, nor conceited. She just knows what she wants and she goes for it. She’s very liberal and believes in equal rights for all. She’s sassy and snarky and her attitude and talk back does get her in trouble, but she just doesn’t know when to quit. She’s a really bad person to get into a fight with, because fights are the main reason why she gets expelled from schools. Don’t be fooled by the cute face, this girl can pack a punch. Compared to her brother, she’s the rebellious sibling and she’s often compared to him, which she hates with every burning hole in her body. She often comes off on being a feminist. Although she is very pessimistic, just like her brother. But she is also a dreamer and is very imaginative. She is also alone most of the time because other girls think she is ‘weird’ or different, and she acts like it doesn’t really affect her when really it does.

Pets:

She has a pet lizard named Sheldon. Unfortunately, her only companion.

Talents:

She has a knack for writing, talking, and persuading people. She's also good at reading people's vibes and remembering important stuff about people.

Benjamin Grayson ‘Ben’ Hathaway, but he likes to call himself “McLovin’”

Age/birthday:

He’s seventeen, born on November 7, 1993.

Gender:

He’s male, unless you need to look inside his pants.

Brief history:

He’s lived in Toronto his entire life, and he never wants to leave. He and his sister had never really had a close relationship with their parents, but they’ve always been close to each other. He’s been to private schools while his sister went to public so this is his first time attending a public school. He recently moved Degrassi out of public school, due to his parents not being able to pay for his private school. He has received many awards and has been in Honors and AP classes pretty much since seventh grade. And he’s been in the GATE program since kindergarten. Would you say he has a healthy social life, no but is it worth the grades? Erm, maybe.

He just transferred to Degrassi a couple of weeks ago.

Physical appearance:

Ben has a long puffy face figure but he’s not chubby. He has huge dimples of the side of his face and dark chocolate brown eyes. Unlike his sister, his skins complexion is a little bit darker and he has brownish blackish hair. When he smiles it turns into a crooked smirk or grin. He’s 5’8” not that much taller than his sister. He’s pretty lanky and not that muscular, but you can see development somewhere around the arms. His clothing consists of plaid t-shirts with a black tie. So he likes to dress professionally and sometimes wears suits to school. He believes it’s a great way to prepare for the future.

Personality:

Ben has had a pretty rough toddlerhood. He didn’t have many friends, much like his sister because he’s what you would call a ‘geek’ or dork. He likes to believe he’s the coolest person on Earth, but he’s well aware of his placement on the high school food chain, which is way down at the bottom. He’s a smart cookie as well and has a sarcastic sense of humor. He tells a lot of educational jokes that no one really follows but he laughs at the anyway. He’s not too athletic, but he’s not horrible at sports. He doesn’t like when people have no moral judgment or no common sense. He doesn’t bother with those kind of people. He can be naïve and ignorant when it comes to people talking to him. He often ends up getting bullied and played by the many popular kids at school. He acts as if it doesn’t get to him, when it really does. He plays video games and LOVES superheroes. He made up this alter ego and calls himself ‘Red Mist’ and he even made himself a costume. He’s very protective of his sister, Summer. It’s really been just them two all along.
